2013: Civic and social science foundation: Sociology, media
The textbook for secondary schools deals with two areas of the civic and social science foundation, namely the issue of sociology and the media and their influence on people. The topics of sociology as a whole are devoted to the definition of the theory and basic concepts of sociology, the structure of society and the process of human socialization. It also introduces the issue of the family and is also devoted to the relationship between man, culture and nature; the process of human integration in the culture of the given society. The unit focused on the media is quite closely related to the previous unit. Media and advertising accompany people at every step in contemporary society; it is therefore advisable to learn to understand them, to be able to sort information and verify it from multiple sources. It will introduce you to the issues of the communication process, the media as such, media units and journalistic genres. This part of the textbook deals in considerable detail with mass media and new media, especially those based on Internet technologies.
